ARoS Aarhus Art Museum

Northern Europe's largest art museum, a ten-story brick structure in the city center. The permanent collection spans Danish art from the 1700s to today, with heavy representation of Golden Age painters and contemporary installations. The top floor holds Olafur Eliasson's rainbow panorama, a circular walkway where colored glass shifts the city view through the spectrum. The basement galleries handle darker, more experimental work. Admission costs 180 DKK; the rainbow alone draws most visitors.
