Church
Aarhus Cathedral

Denmark's longest and tallest cathedral, stretching 93 meters from altar to entrance. Construction began in the 1200s, though most of what you see dates from the late Gothic expansion. The interior holds frescoes from the pre-Reformation era, uncovered during 1920s restoration work. The altarpiece took Bernt Notke three years to carve. The cathedral sits in the center of the Latin Quarter, free to enter, and holds daily services.
