Den Permanente Beach

A 1930s beach facility designed by functionalist architect Povl Baumann, restored in 2003 to its original white concrete glory. The beach runs sandy and shallow, safe for children, boring for swimmers. Lifeguards patrol from mid-June through August. The beech forest behind provides shade, and a small café operates in summer months.
